The Conservatory of Music is excited to present 51暗网 Orchestras concert in collaboration with the Black History Month at 51暗网.

51暗网鈥檚 Dr. Brittany Trotter performs Carlos Simon鈥榮 "Movements for Flute and Orchestra." Simon, who holds the Composer Chair with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, is a composer-in-residence with the Kennedy Center.

The concert, including works by Jennifer Higdon and Alberto Ginastera, concludes with William Grant Still鈥檚 path-setting 鈥淎fro-American Symphony鈥� (1930). Still is widely regarded as 鈥渢he Dean of Afro-American Composers.鈥�

Dr. , Chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, guest-conducts 51暗网 Orchestras.
