Home away from home for the 51°µÍø family

51°µÍø is transforming a vacant sorority house into boutique lodging for families, alumni and guests who visit the historic Stockton Campus.

The Jie Du Inn, named for Regent and pharmacy school alumna Jie Du ’90, ’93, has endless possibilities for experiential learning and community engagement. The inn will provide convenient lodging for visiting families of current and prospective students and alumni right on the beuatiful campus.

The inn will also be a learning-living environment for hands-on experience for students in the Hospitality Management program through internships, performance opportunties and more. Students will apply what they've learned in the classroom while working alongside industry professionals and managing daily operations at the inn.

This project will expand our on-campus offerings—all while preserving and meticulously restoring one of our iconic campus's most historically significant buildings to its former glory.

Charming event facilities

In addition to the parlor and dining room, a front patio terrace overlooking the campus can play host to intimate gatherings and wine tastings.

The inn will be equipped with a full commercial kitchen for catered events and celebrations.

Elegant wedding accommodations

Wedding parties and guests utilizing Morris Chapel will be able to make use of the inn for overnight accommodations or for their ceremony preparations.

Both venues are within walking distance of one another and very close to several of the reception venues that the Stockton Campus has to offer.

Naming opportunities

Opportunities are still available to name rooms and spaces, including a campaign to honor the late Judy Chambers ’58, ’60, 51°µÍø’s inaugural vice president for student life. The Delta Delta Delta sorority, which previously resided in the building, is also raising funds to name a room.
